We will welcome you at Tuxtla Gutierrez airport, immediately We take our first Tour to the majestic Cañon del Sumidero which is an incredible geological fault 35 million years ago whose walls reach more than a thousand meters above the water level. Breakfast. Our tour begins by visiting indigenous communities of the Tzotzil ethnic group, first we are going to visiting San Juan Chamula. For decades, this town has been a tourist attraction for its peculiar religiosity; especially the community's Church where you will live a magical and mystical experience. Later we will continue towards another important Tzotzil community: Zinacantán, population that during the pre-Hispanic age was a prominent center of commerce. Following that tradition, today it is recognized for its striking textiles. In this community we will visit a family house, They will welcome us with a regional drink named Posh (cane distillate) also you can see how a woman works the waist loom with a technique from the pre-Columbian times. Then we will return to San Cristobal de las Casas to make the City Tour where we can admire the market, the Cathedral, the Church of Santo Domingo and walk through the main tourist walkways. We will take breakfast in route because we will depart very early to visit Palenque City. Our first stop will be to visit the beautiful Cascadas deAgua Azul. This incredible jungle and water park is a set of stepped waterfalls that, due to their size, their tonality and the tranquil pools that are formed, Cascadas de Agua Azul are undoubtedly the most beautiful in the country. Later we will admire the impressive Misol-Ha Waterfall, which with its thirty meters in height and surrounded by tropical rainforest make this a beautiful and refreshing place; which has also become a classic tour to Chiapas for the serene harmony of the place. Then we will travel to Palenque's Archaeological Zone. This archaeological area is simply extraordinary and has been named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Palenque was a great city and its size and majesty indicate that the city was one of the most powerful in the Mayan world. In this fantastic place you will see the Arquitecture of this civilization, the famous Inscriptions Temple, The Red Queen mausoleum and a series of steep stepped pyramids on which sit the Sun Temple, the Cross and the Foliated Cross. When you finished the tour you will be transfered to your hotel.
We will depart very early in the morning with breakfast included en route to the Selva Lacandona. First we will arrive at Bonampak, to know this enigmatic archaeological zone, We will be received by native Lacandones located in the community of Lacanjá They taking us in their vehicles towards that zone. Bonampak is very important for the murals discovered in its temples and that are still in sight of the visitor. The most striking part is the Temple of the Murals, where three painted chambers are found. The murals of the first chamber allude to the presentation of the heir to the throne of the city, the second chamber presents pictures of a battle and the third describes the festivities for the victory, with dancers, nobles and musicians. At the end we will leave to enter the mystery of Yaxchilán archaeological zone. Majestic for its location, its history and its architecture, this Mayan city was one of the most important of the classic period. It is located on a peninsula flanked by wide meanders of the Usumacinta River, so that it is completely surrounded by water. As it has tried to preserve the forest in the middle of its urban layout, its atmosphere is mysterious like that of any other Mayan archaeological site. It stands out for the multiple stelae raised in front of its large structures and by the numerous barred stone lintels. At the end of the tour we will return to the hotel in the city of Palenque. After enjoying your delicious breakfast you must register your departure from the hotel of Palenque City then we go head to Villahermosa's city and visit Parque Museo La Venta. Among the pieces that stand out are the colossal Olmeca heads carved as a tribute to the rulers of this first great Mesoamerican civilization. A genuine feature of this museum is the imitation of the surrounding forest , so you will find deer, monkeys and badgers, touring the park in absolute freedom.
